Brandon Jennings will attend Game 6 as Milwaukee goes for ‘Bucks in 6’

Milwaukee Bucks, NBA Playoffs

Former Bucks guard Brandon Jennings is expected to attend Game 6 in Milwaukee as his years-old “Bucks in six” prediction may finally come to fruition.

Before the “Suns in four” guy took Phoenix by storm, Brandon Jennings uttered the phrase “Bucks in six.”

The former Milwaukee Bucks point guard was talking about the 2013 squad ahead of their first-round NBA playoffs series with the No. 1-seeded Miani Heat. Miami swept the Bucks in that series, but Jennings may soon get to claim he was simply looking ahead eight years.

Now, Jennings is slated to attend Game 6 as Milwaukee looks to close out the Suns. Has his time come?

Fans at Fiserv Forum have already chanted the “Bucks in six” mantra, so they’ve embraced Jennings’ confident stance. The question is whether or not Giannis Antetokounmpo and his teammates can get it done against the Suns on Tuesday.

Brandon Jennings could be on hand to see ‘Bucks in six’ come true

It looked bad for the Bucks after they went down 2-0 in the series, losing the first two games in Phoenix. However, they have bounced back emphatically. Wins at home in Game 3 and 4 were validated even further when they pulled a critical victory on the road in Game 5. They now lead the series 3-2 and are one win away from their first NBA title since 1971.

The Bucks selected Jennings 10th overall in the 2009 NBA Draft. He played for them for four years. At his best, he averaged 19.1 points and 5.5 assists per game in 2011-12. He helped lead the team to the playoffs in 2012-13.

After the 2013 NBA Playoffs, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons in the deal that brought Khris Middleton to Milwaukee. He went on to play briefly for the Orlando Magic, New York Knicks and Washington Wizards, then returned to the Bucks in 2018, playing 14 games in total. He hasn’t played in the NBA since.
